Gilded Cage

“Gilded Cage,” is an exploration of the paradox that even when we seem to have everything in life, we can still find ourselves prisoners within our own minds. This piece reflects on the idea that material wealth and outward success can sometimes mask the internal struggles we face—those invisible barriers that keep us confined, despite the apparent freedom we possess.

The focal point of the piece, the gilded cage, is represented by a golden, lattice-like structure that is both delicate and imposing. It serves as a metaphor for the constraints we place on ourselves, often invisible but ever-present, preventing us from experiencing true freedom.

“Gilded Cage” is my way of expressing the tension between outward appearances and inner realities. It’s a reminder that true liberation comes from within, and that the key to escaping our own gilded cages lies in confronting the mental and emotional barriers we’ve constructed.
