“Camel Trail,” was inspired by a memorable bike ride I took along the Camel estuary, from Padstow to Wadebridge in Cornwall, England. As I cycled through this stunning landscape, the spectacular views of moorland, woodland, and estuary imprinted themselves in my memory, and I knew I had to capture them on canvas.
In this piece, I’ve used a soothing palette of greens, blues, and earthy tones to reflect the diverse environments along the trail. The horizontal strokes and textured layers are my way of conveying the flowing waters of the estuary, the rolling moorland, and the tranquil woodland, all blending together seamlessly. The composition aims to evoke the same sense of rhythm and peace that I felt while cycling through this picturesque route.
“Camel Trail” is a celebration of the freedom and connection with nature that I experienced on that ride. It’s my way of sharing the lasting impression those spectacular views left on me, and I hope it invites you to share in those cherished memories as well.
