Gathering of the Jellyfish

“Gathering of the Jellyfish,” was inspired by a mesmerizing trip to the Red Sea in Egypt. The vibrant underwater world there left a lasting impression on me, particularly the ethereal beauty of the jellyfish as they drifted gracefully through the water, gathering in delicate, translucent groups.

In this piece, I used a rich palette of blues and greens to represent the depths of the sea, with hints of copper and gold to capture the shimmering light that dances on the water’s surface. The textured layers and intricate details are my way of conveying the gentle, almost ghostly presence of the jellyfish as they float together, their forms both fragile and otherworldly.

“Gathering of the Jellyfish” is my homage to the quiet yet profound beauty of marine life. Through this painting, I wanted to evoke the sense of wonder and tranquility that I felt while observing these creatures in their natural habitat. It’s a reminder of the hidden, often overlooked wonders of the ocean, and an invitation to explore the serene, mysterious world beneath the waves.
