This unique piece with sgraffito patterns engraved on the surface, evokes the ancient Gayatri mantra  The glaze is used to soften its lines, and create a subtle, almost whispered presence.

The Gayatri mantra is 4000 year old Sanskrit verse dedicated to the sun god. It expresses gratitude for the divine source of transformation and inner growth, and the nurturing force of the universe.
