“This painting draws deeply from the concept of ‘Prakriti’, the Sanskrit word for Nature, capturing the tranquil yet vibrant essence of the natural world. The composition is inspired by Rabindranath Tagore’s evocative poem on Nature, where he calls forth the beauty of the rainy season with the verse, ‘Eso Shyamala Sundara,’meaning ‘Come, O the beautiful green of the rainy season.’ Through a palette dominated by lush greens and earthy tones, I aim to convey the serene rejuvenation that rain brings to the earth. The layers of color and texture in this work are a tribute to the rich, life-giving qualities of nature, inviting the viewer to immerse themselves in the soothing and renewing spirit of the monsoon. This piece is a celebration of the verdant beauty that emerges with the rains, a reminder of the deep and sacred connection we share with ” Prakriti.”
